Cheap digs at Yuyuan signages
Just when you thought Obama Entertainment Club is the pits.
Actually, this isn’t so bad. I mean, it could have been worse.
Change we can !
A rather fascinating editorial in the March 2010 issue of iLook which has Chinese model Li Zheng do a playful take on symmetry. Made me look more than twice. On hindsight, I think it may be because she was styled to resemble an inflatable doll, no ?
Singa the Lion
A much welcomed revival ? I almost bought a Singa the Lion t-shirt this time in Singapore but didn’t because I couldn’t convince myself to wear a ringer T-shirt (much less one that has black ribbing on dark grey). I suppose I will make do with this photo instead.
Feeding off that platform sandals obsession
So obsessed with platform sandals in recent weeks that I painstakingly went through ALL the entries in elle shoe diary looking for them. These three are my favorites, with the Pierre Hardy being my favoritest pair of the lot. Sigh, a girl can dream, can’t she ?
On a separate note, I wonder how fashion interns afford/ lay their hands on the latest trendy goodies (and we’re just talking about shoes here, remember there are still outfits, bags and accessories). Where I come from, interns don’t earn alot of money and it is just incredulous to see these interns dressed to the nines.

Kånken Mini
Made by Swedish outdoor equipment company Fjällräven (Swedish for ‘arctic fox’), I admit the Kånken Mini does feed off my teenage fascination with the randoseru and actually makes for a more practical substitute. While the mini backpack comes in a plenitude of colors, I think this one has got to be my favorite. What about you ?
Polyrhythms
London-trained Australian designer Tina Kalivas has managed to combine structure and African geometry into a refreshing explosion of timeless outfits. These two are my favorite pieces from her Polyrhythms collection. Look, how wearable they are. I’m wowed. A little more on Kalivas here and here.
By the way, she has a fantastic Web site too – the mouse pointer effect is amazing and surprisingly non-annoying. Thumbs up.
