Food frenzy #38

I’ve been trying to cook healthier and eat better this year so that means less instant noodles (and less Tetra Pak soup stock). Made delicious laksa for the laksa addict in the family using the recipe of a British lady  (ironic yes, but it doesn’t matter especially when it is so easy to prepare and tastes so good) with the prettiest cookbook ever.

I also adapted another one of her recipes using J’s leftover pasta sauce from the night before. Savory brunches are the way to go.

The zesty flavors of Mexico recreated at home in this Sopa de Lima-inspired carrot soup. No recipe this time.

doublexuan – Thanks ! It was ! Just lacking blood cockles.

  3. Is laksa really healthy? (It does look delicious – which is the only standard I use to judge food)

Terence – Haha not exactly ! I’d meant healthier as in trying to cook more from scratch.
