We went straight to the source i.e. the lady with the chickens in the village but were told there would be no fresh eggs until January or February next year (so apparently humans aren’t the only ones who need a break this time of the year).

We took a walk after lunch on Christmas Day to go see the village church but I ended up taking more photos of cute village houses and the surroundings. Everything looks so mignon I can’t help but think of Hello Sandwich — this is probably as much a version française (and as cheery) as it could get on a grey wintry afternoon !

It wasn’t so long ago when the sun was blazing hot and I was complaining how Europe wasn’t equipped to withstand the summer heat. I think I can definitely get used to summer holidays in France.
