I would have liked to try Norwegian cuisine when in Norway but it seems that reasonably-priced traditional fare does not come by easily. It was by chance we ended up in an Eritrean restaurant way past dinner time where I had injera for the first time, washed down by Ringnes Pilsner.

The population of Singapore and Norway are about the same (5+ million) but population density stands at just 15.5/sq. km in Norway as compared to Singapore’s 7,540/sq. km.

I’ve never been in a capital city that feels so sparsely populated. Crowds seem non-existent except in bars and clubs past midnight.

Recommended by R, a girlfriend from Norway whom I met by chance a few weeks before heading to Oslo. It must be a good place when we meant to get one beer and ended up staying for a couple more – not to mention there’s 20 of their own brews on tap !

The Belgian Solution (#12) is definitely the tastiest beer I’ve ever had in my life. Life-changing to say the least.
