I mean, what are the chances of coming across an AA office ?

Pale pink cotton candy spun around a stick

We went ice skating that evening and I was not very good at it.

Bonjour France #8

I bought the little ones notepads and assorted writing materials. Don’t ask me why she was looking so forlorn.

IMG_0638

A quiet moment in the mirror before running off again.

IMG_0640

Good times…

IMG_0641

… And happy days relived !

IMG_0643

A sink of freshness.

IMG_0657

I still dream about these oysters. They’ve set an impeccable standard for future oysters to come.

IMG_0659

It was quite the most enjoyable lunch. Nothing can go wrong with seafood, frites and excellent homemade shallot vinaigrette.

IMG_0663

Busy using shells to get the mussels out.

IMG_0684

Little girls with random posters and dalmatian playsuits are awesome girls.

Fresh figs are sweet.

Bonjour France #7

We were at the market on Saturday morning to pick up ingredients for lunch. An ocean-themed signboard is always a welcome addition at any seafood shop.

IMG_0570

I didn’t know these would later turn out to be the tastiest oysters I’ve ever had.

IMG_0577

Grumpy St. Pierre. Grmmmpf !

IMG_0586

Plastic can buy you cheese.

IMG_0597

The combination of chalkboards and fresh produce is magical ! So cheery !

IMG_0601

More chalkboards and fresh produce.

IMG_0606

Tender green shoots.

IMG_0610

I feel like buying salt just looking at the way they are presented on the table.

IMG_0611

Bunches of violet-tinged garlic. Doesn’t hurt that garlic ranks among my favorite vegetables this year.

IMG_0612

Pondering over the variety of available spices.

IMG_0617

All cities and towns should have open-air markets.

IMG_0620

We bought some honeydew melons instead.

IMG_0629

Ran out of time and we were this close to buying some olives, boo.

Not too large a selection of destinations from this railway station.

IMG_0472

It may be small but to me it is the prettiest railway station in all of France.

IMG_0474

You know you are a parent if you have random toys in the car.

IMG_0479

This little one likes to draw…

IMG_0487

… And this little one likes to set the table for lunch in the yard, haha !

IMG_0491

Maybe it was a little too sunny for lunch outdoors. The top of my head felt hot enough to fry an egg (or two) by the time lunch was over.

IMG_0497

Wheeeeee, a lovely white horse spotted in the fields !

IMG_0510

Along the way, we ate some wild blackberries.

IMG_0518

Getting ready for the ride home.

IMG_0520

The house cat vs. the motorcar.

IMG_0521

Doodlings for Halloween ?

IMG_0522

I like refrigerators with a spot of character.

IMG_0546

Say hi to toilet roll bunny craft project.

IMG_0549

The boy with the blackberry stains had tied a string around his loose tooth.

IMG_0554

I’m easily amused by children’s drawings, especially if they are drawn by adorable little girls.

IMG_0558

We also drove by a rare transporter bridge built in 1900.
